Claxton Grange is a group of self contained holiday cottages
in a village like environment on the A 64 between York and
Malton, in North Yorkshire. Each cottage is decorated to the
highest standard and comfortably furnished with all electrical
amenities such as TV, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher,
cooker and microwave. There is a shared laundry room with
washer, dryer, iron and ironing board. Some of the larger
cottages do have their own washing machines. Cots and high
chairs are available on request. |

| All cottages have open fires (coal is available locally) and
there are also electric fires. There are extensive grounds surrounding
the properties together with a large, heated indoor swimming
pool and open air hard tennis court. There is a children’s
play area with swings and enough grass to play football, cricket
or rounders. There is a large secure car park adjoining
the properties. We regret that pets are not allowed due to the
open childrens' play areas. |

Claxton Grange Holiday Cottages are ideal for touring the
Yorkshire countryside and coastline. They are close to the
Yorkshire Moors, the coast and the Yorkshire Dales are only
40 minutes away by car. The famous medieval city of York is
10 miles away and the market towns of Pickering, Malton and
Helmsley are all within 30 minutes. The seaside towns of Scarborough,
Whitby and Bridlington are well worth a visit and there are
historic houses such as Castle Howard, Sledmere and Duncombe
Park for those wanting a taste of heritage.
